Women’s March January 21, 2016

Women show their strength

Santa Cruz

Kayla Cromer is a single mother of two from Santa Cruz. She said Trump’s election to office was “shocking.” “It hopefully teaches them how the community can come together, despite this administration,” Cromer said.

Watsonville
Watsonville was one of them. While many Santa Cruz County residents headed directly to the march in downtown Santa Cruz, some began their protest even earlier at Watsonville Plaza.

“We’re here to voice our frustration about the new administration and what it represents,” said Jenny Sarmiento, one of the organizers of the event. (Register-Pajaronian, Johanna Miller)
